Choosing a roll off size wrong costs money twice, once on the bin you did not fill and again on the second bin you needed. The rule that catches most Amarillo homeowners is that heavy material fills a dumpster by weight long before it fills it by space. Concrete, tile, dirt and shingles belong in a 10 yard no matter how much of it there is. Light bulky material is where the 20 and 30 yard bins earn their keep.

Size by footprint
- 10 yard, roughly 12ft by 8ft by 3.5ft, 2 to 3 tons
- 15 yard, roughly 16ft by 8ft by 4ft, 2 to 3 tons
- 20 yard, roughly 22ft by 8ft by 4.5ft, 3 to 4 tons
- 30 yard, roughly 22ft by 8ft by 6ft, 4 to 5 tons
- All four need about 60ft of clearance for the truck to drop and pull
- Dimensions vary slightly by container, confirmed when you book
Matching size to job
- Bathroom remodel or a single room, 10 to 15 yard
- Kitchen remodel or a two bed cleanout, 15 to 20 yard

- Whole house cleanout or major remodel, 30 yard
- Concrete, brick, dirt or tile, 10 yard regardless of volume
What this costs in Amarillo
Single items normally fall into the minimum load or 1/8 truck bracket. Larger jobs price by the fraction of the truck they fill. Every bracket is published on the pricing page, and the quote you get on the driveway is the number you pay.
Questions people actually ask
What happens if I go over the weight allowance?
You are charged per ton over, at a rate quoted before delivery rather than discovered on the invoice. Heavy material in an oversized bin is the usual cause, which is why we push concrete into a 10 yard.
How much space do I need for delivery?
About 60 feet of straight clearance and roughly 23 feet of overhead. Low branches and power lines are the two things that most often stop a delivery.
Can I fill it above the rim?
No. Load has to sit level with the top rail so it can be tarped legally for transport. An overfilled bin cannot be picked up and the trip still gets charged.
Which is cheaper for my job, a bin or a crew?
If the debris arrives over more than three or four days, usually a bin. If it is one pile on one day, usually a crew. Our cost comparison walks through real Amarillo examples.
