Junk removal FAQs for Amarillo
What we take, what we cannot take, how fast we arrive and how the pricing works.
Common questions
What is the minimum charge for junk removal in Amarillo?
Our smallest bracket is a minimum load, which covers a single item such as one couch, one mattress or one appliance. Every bracket above it is published on the pricing page.
What is the cheapest way to get rid of junk in Amarillo?
The City of Amarillo bulky item pickup, if your material qualifies and you can wait. After that, hauling a consolidated load to the landfill yourself. Paid collection buys speed and the categories the city refuses.
What is included in a low advertised junk removal price?
Usually a single item and nothing else. Advertised entry prices in this trade normally cover the minimum load bracket, with everything above it priced separately. Ask which bracket the advertised number refers to.
Do you take appliances with freon?
Yes. Refrigerant is recovered under EPA Section 608 rules before the shell is scrapped, and that is built into the appliance price rather than added afterwards.
Will you take paint?
Only if it is fully dried out. Latex paint dried with kitty litter or a hardener is ordinary waste and rides along at no extra charge. Liquid paint, solvents and thinners cannot legally go on any junk truck.
How fast can you come out?
Same day if you call before 2pm on a weekday. Otherwise the first slot the following morning. Storm weeks run one to three days because everyone calls at once.
Do I need to be home?
No, and a lot of realtors and property managers are not. Send photos, mark anything that stays with painters tape, and we send finished photos when the job is done.
Do you work in Canyon and the outlying towns?
Amarillo and Canyon daily, Bushland on the west route, and Borger, Pampa, Dumas and Hereford on scheduled route days at in town prices.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes, for commercial and property management accounts. Send the building requirements when booking and it is issued before the crew arrives.
What happens to what you take?
Donatable items go to a charity partner, metal goes to a scrap yard, and the remainder goes to the City of Amarillo landfill. We will tell you which route your items took if you ask.
